Biography

Terri Clifton’s legal career began as a receptionist where she advanced as a paralegal with 39 plus years of hands-on experience.   Terri has experience in various areas of law, including Criminal, Business, Family, Bankruptcy, Estate Planning and Probate.  Terri was also the Grand Jury Clerk for the District Attorney of Houston County, Texas.

Her true love for family law brings her the commitment to guiding families through one of the most difficult and defining moments of their lives.  Terri’s expertise in Family Law, includes divorce cases, custody matters, modifications, enforcement actions, parent-child relationships, adoptions, terminations, discovery process, mediation, pretrial and trial preparation.  She has experience in assisting attorneys with drafting of pleadings, propounding and responding to discovery, and preparing for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials. Keeping clients informed with regular contact, updates and comfortable is always a priority. 

Her passion for family law comes from her own divorce with a small child which further deepens her compassion and understanding for those she serves.  Terri has used her personal experience to assist clients in feeling that their situation is special, and she understands that this process can take a toll on families.  She is very committed to her clients and their success after this process.  Terri takes pride in bringing compassion, empathy, and support to each client and their specific needs.
